Tournament Rules:
1. Participants should moniter VHF channel #69 which will be the official tournament channel.
2. Participants must leave from and return to any dock or public landing in Beaufort County. There will be a maximum of 5 anglers
per boat.
3. All fish must be of legal size and caught with hook and line and landed in a sporting manner. No trot lines, nets or guns, etc.
No mutilated fish allowed.
4. Lines will be in the water no earlier than 6:30am and fish must be weighed in from 2:00-4:00pm at Hudson’s dock. Prizes
immediatly following.
5. All fish must be caught in public waters, no impoundments, ponds, lakes or private waters.
6. An angler/boat may enter only one fish of each species that he or she caught. All anglers/boats MUST weigh their OWN fish.
7. In the event of a tie, the winner shall be determined by the earliest weigh-in time.
8. All protests or grievances must be submitted in writing to the weigh-master, with a $100 protest fee.
9. The Fishing Tournament Committee is the final arbitrator of all disputes.
Tides:
Low Tide: 10:50am
High Tide: 4:30am, 5:10pm
Captain's Meeting/NOT Mandatory:
6:00 pm Friday, Sept. 21 at Hudson’s Dock
The meeting will start promptly and is the deadline for all entries. Snacks and beverages provided.
Weigh-in/Award Presentation:
4:00pm at Hudson’s Dock. Prizes and trophies will be presented at the awards ceremony. Snacks and beverages will be provided
for all participants.
Fish Species:
Spot Tail Bass Flounder
Trout King MacKeral
We recommend that you weigh in all legal fish. Prizes can be awarded for small fish.
$25,000 CASH PRIZE for any new official state record Fish!
Grand Prize:
The team from the boat with the most total points receives the Grand Prize. As bragging rights, they get their Name on a Trophy to
be displayed at a prominent location.
Prizes:
- 1st Place......................Of Each Species (3 points): $150 and Prizes
- 2nd Place.....................Of Each Species (2points): $100 and Prizes
- 3rd Place......................Of Each Species (1point): $50 and Prizes
Mission:
Although this is a contest with prizes, the primary goal is to raise awareness and money in memory of David M. Carmines for the
American Cancer Society and the Island Recreation Association.
