He was truly an exemplary young man much beloved by his family and his enormous circle of friends with whom he kept in close contact by email throughout his fight with cancer, always closing his letters with “Keep the Faith”.

The 7th annual Hilton Head Island Seafood Fest, sponsored by the David M. Carmines Memorial Foundation is set to take place Friday, April 4, 2014, 5-8pm, and Saturday, April 5, 11am-5pm, at Shelter Cove Community Park. The family-friendly event features area restaurants/chefs serving up seafood specialties and other tasty cuisine, live entertainment, a Kids Zone, a silent auction, an Iron Chef-style competition (Art of Cuisine), and more.

Admission: $5/adults, free for children under 12
Food/beverages available for purchase

Attendees are encouraged to bicycle to the event, but otherwise can park at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina, the Mall at Shelter Cove, along Shelter Cove Lane or at the old Bank of America building. Handicapped parking is available inside Shelter Cove Harbour Community Park. Golf carts will shuttle people from the lots to the park on April 5; buses and golf carts will shuttle people on April 6.
